Little Racers
This group includes young and beginning swimmers generally between the ages of 5 to 9 years old. They have minimal swim experience but who are able to swim one length of the pool unaided. The Little Racers’ instruction focuses on developing solid fundamentals necessary for success in competitive swimming: proper stroke technique, breathing, swim terminology, using a pace clock, plus gaining strength through kicking. Having fun and making friends is vital at this stage.

Pre Junior Racers
Pre-Junior Racers are generally between the ages of 7 to 11 years old. Pre-Junior Racers continue to learn stroke technique, streamlining, and race pace training. Starts, turns, underwater breakouts and finishes become part of every practice. Light dry land training such as core work, stretching, body weight resistant drills, and running is incorporated. Pre-Junior Racers learn to compete at race speed while understanding the value of good sportsmanship toward all. We value the lesson of congratulating a teammate when they best you in a race, then using that as motivation for you to beat them next time.

Senior Racers
Senior Racers include high school and college swimmers. They use a hybrid model of USRPT and Sprint Salo training, as well as weekly distance days. Race strategy, starts, turns, underwater breakouts, and competitive racing are stressed. Secondary dry land and weight training is strongly encouraged. Body resistance swim workouts with drag suits or weight belts are occasionally used. Excellence in training and in character are both expected as part of being a "Racer."
